Harley-Davidson rally celebrates Milwaukee iron
Four-day event will continue through Sunday
The thundering roar that shook the city out of its bed this morning was compliments of the Milwaukee Rally, a four-day celebration of Harley-Davidson motorcycles kick-starting Thursday.
The events are free and open to everyone, offering food, live music and shopping at venues all around town, including State Fair Park, the Harley-Davidson Museum and local dealers in Milwaukee, New Berlin and Thiensville.
The Milwaukee Rally is also offering a little Hollywood action with the appearance of actress Sheree Wilson, star of “Easy Rider: The Ride Back.” Wilson will meet fans at a screening of a trailer for the upcoming movie Thursday at the Harley museum, which is also showing the original “Easy Rider” film at 9 p.m.
Wilson, well-known for her roles in the television series “Dallas” and playing opposite Chuck Norris in “Walker: Texas Ranger,” visited Milwaukee for Harley’s 100th anniversary and says she’s glad to be back. She’s visited several rallies this year around the country to promote the movie, but Milwaukee will stand out, she said.
