What has to be done

I wrote this short oem for a good friend who is struggling to bring up her daughter,,and was abandoned by the lil girls Dad so she asked me to write a poem i leave it here for yous to read and I think all of us know somelady who at times is in dire straits, merry Xmas L&R,,Wayne

It Has to Be Done


she climbs onto the stage,
With a smile indeed ,
Needs to make a living,
Of a life thats full of greed,

as eyes are focused on her,
She dances into their minds,
Full of beauty and grace,
wondering if tonight they will be kind,

At home is her little girl,
Not aware of mommys fight,
Just knows mommy takes care of her,
Trying to make things right,

She receives no child support,
from a deadbeat Dad,
dispising him in every way,
But being away from him, she is glad,

She hears all the cat calls,
And smiles and dances on,
as a room full of drunken men,
Why does this seem so wrong,

Hoping some day it will change,
And meets the man of her dreams,
but until that time does come,
she knows this is her only means

Dancing for their pleasure
and just wanting some respect,
She drags her body thru the motions
hearing cat calls that have no affect,

So Mommy will be home soon sweety
To tuck you in and give a kiss,
its for these precious times
That Mommy surely does miss,

So for now i;ll swallow my pride,
And dance for these men,
As my love for you,
will help me thru till the end,

You know I know in general all Bros/sisters that ride and live the lifestyle that we choose are top left people but there are people in all walks of life there a few that ruin the positive doings of any culture ,,ones that are not true to themselves and over the yrs in writing poems editorials etc,,I feel that i have ben come a very good character judgement of people and where their heart lies ,,and I must say this website has and always impressed me with thier top notch thoughts opinions and just good old heart and its a pleasure to be part of yous and hopefully someday I can get the chance to help out you's as much as you have made me feel wanted and appreciated so to everyone again Many Thanks and have a safe and merry Xmas,,L&R,,,Wayne
