Default It all started when I was bored one day...

I was at the first annual ride for Lauren up at Speedman's party earlier this year. We'd taken a break on the charity ride at the absolutely beautiful spot. I walked over to some ruins, climbed up on a rock and stared out over Lake Ontario.

In order for me to make it to Speedman's party, I went out and bought a trailer. Despite work shortening my vacation time, I still drove 38 hours in three days just to see old friends and meet new ones.

And it hit me. All because I was bored one day, and it was too cold to ride, I pulled up a Harley forum and introduced myself. I'd never belonged to an online community before.

Since joining, I've not just made new friends, I've "forged" new friendships. Friendships that I'm certain will last. I've made insane trips just to see people. I've ridden to pars of the country, I would have never had reason to otherwise. I've had private homes opened up to me for a nights rest while on the road and cold beer put into my hand every time. I've looked up into the rear view mirror of good friends, met on here, on the bike in front and seen an all be it ugly face, but yet a friendly face peering back. I've looked in my rear view mirror and seen the tired smile of a biker having too much fun.

So, here I am, two and a half years later, sitting on a rock in Canada, 1,000 miles from home, looking at a beautiful lake and surroundings, honoring the life of a young little girl taken from us way too soon, surrounded by good friends, who just two and a half years earlier were just strangers.

... all because I was bored one day and logged into a Harley website.

Ain't life good? Especially from the seat of a Harley Davidson?

Touching Mungo! Our thoughts drift in much the same fashion on this subject. It's an honor to count you as one of my friends I've made along the way.
