Default apes 08 fatboy

i have an 08 fatboy and want to put apes on. the bike has a fat front end so i want fat bars whats the fattest bars i can get and where. also how about the cables and wiring who carries it. any info is greatly appreciated

Sorry fella's been away, and then the lads were up from the Island when I came back....

1 1/4 " will be beefy enough for the fat boy, I believe they are called chubbies....not cheap.

You will need to replace all cables if you go bigger then 13"....I just bought a new wiring harness, instead of soldering the stock.

I bought the whole deal from Hill country customs in Texas, they will send you the right length cables based on the Bike, based on model/year/ape size you choose:

You can get 1 1/2" apes. I like a lot of chrome and fat bars, but these look funny. I'd second the 1 1/4" bars. The top 3 brands are Burly, Wild1, and Carlini. Check it out. I personally like the turn on the Burly Bars. You might also want to check out this link for great bars that come prewired and have braided cables:
