Default HAB-125

After buying the HAB-125 chain tensioner I think I'm ready to install it. Question is behind the primary cover is there a gasket or is it a machine surface fit?
Before I take off the primary cover I want to get a gasket if I need one. I plan to do the wrenching in the "man cave" I have made in one of my garages.

Thanks gk

Make sure you note which bolts go where. There are a couple of bolts which are longer than the others.

I had planned to stick them in some cardboard in the order of removal so it would look like the primary cover pattern. Thanks for reminding me it never hurts to do so. gk

Might as well put on a fancy primary cover too. I have one like Ram's avatar.

I still do my primary tension the old fasion way. I see as many people who dislike the auto tensioners as don't. When they all love them I may reconsider.

The auto tensioners are great unless you are putting out big horsepower. The springs can't stand up to the extra grunt.

It's nice not having to adjust the primary chain, easier to find neutral and easier to shift with a chain tensioner.

I am running the Hayden and I love it. 20k miles on mine so far and no problems yet. I put one in Mom's bike as well and it has been running flawlessly so far as well.
