Mrs Curley and I ride 06 Ultras. We could as easily gotten 07's. I won't go into all the why's as I type to slow. All in all I feel it's a better product. Now personally i am a carb. guy the efi is a good system. If you have a carb. problem on the road you can fix that fairly easily but if that black box goes out you can look at it all you want but you ain't going nowhere with out a new box and some password learning. But I am slowly accepting the 21st century being the old dinosaur I am...........

For now, I'll stay '06 and prior. Although, I wouldn't mind taking a ride on the new 96". I'm a firm believer that you can't judge until you've experience it yourself.
Plus - I've picked up some good deals on stuff for my pre-07 at my local dealer. BTW - my local Indy is selling used bikes like hotcakes. Seems a good bit of the general population is preferring the pre-07. |

After finally getting my 07 heritage dyno'ed Im really enjoying it . Before the dyno I was getting about 130 miles to a tank , afterwards Im getting anywhere between 150 - 170 miles a tank . I am thinking about getting some new pipes for it though . The V & H longshots namely .. My V & H Big radious pipes dont make enough noise for my liking and the baffles are not removable ...

Well from my stand point I love the simplicity of carb setups, instead of the hundreds of dollars I have seen people pay to have an efi dyno tuned. They both have their advantages and it will be a discussion that will come up for years until you can no longer get a carb bike. As far as the 07-08s go I prefer the 06 and earlier, on the fact that I don't like the trannies in the newer bikes. I have ridden both and prefer an older one with a Baker 6spd tranny in it to the new HD 6 spd. Just my thoughts.
