Default Rineharts on an 07

I recently installed the new Rinehart True Duals on an O7 FLRCHI, the install was similiar to the years previous, with some mounting differences because of the six speed. I was disappointed in the Rinehart instructions, they were for an 06 and modified, instead of a new set for 07 and the pics etc., were not right. But, if you take your time they will fit correctly. One of the slip-ons would not go far enough up on the header pipe and I had to take a sandpaper drum on an air tool to smooth the inside of the slip-on. Presto, it went up far enough to line up with the other side. Good sounding pipes were the result.

How did you accommodate the closed loop EFI exhaust sensor? Did you go with a PCIII and just disconnect the sensors?

Gotta love those Rineharts. I got rid of the Big Radius exhaust on my Night Train and was set to pull the trigger on a 2:1 Rinehart exhaust. Started reading up on them and it seems they are not designed for anything above a Stage1 motor. I was really disappointed because I think they are nicer looking than the SuperTrapps I ordered.

Hey Buster - which SuperTrap's did you order?

I wanted to get a set of the Crack Pipes for my Night Train, but no baffle.

Hey Mungo

I ordered a set of the ceramic black 2:1 SuperMegs. Bike is siting in the garage with no exhaust waiting for them to arrive. After I did the high compression big bore on the bike, the Big Radius exhaust was almost obnoxious. I couldn't believe the difference in sound coming out of that pipe! I also knew that I was leaving alot of torque and hp untapped in that motor by running what is essentially a drag pipe even though they have baffles.

Started trying to do some reading and find out what might work best for what I wanted. Loved the look of the Rineharts but factory rep stated they were tuned for stock motor or stage 1. Looked at the D&D Fat Cats (which hang too low as well as too loud), V&H Pro Pipe, and a few others. From what I read, they were all going to be too loud for what I wanted.

Buddy of mine put a set of 2:1 Supertrapps on his Dyna a while back. It ran very quiet.......... almost too quiet. I ordered an open end cap last week and we put it on his bike yesterday. The sound was just right.

If they start cracking down on louder exhaust around here, I can always put on the closed end cap on it. I like a good sounding bike but as I get older I just don't need the loudness anymore. The wifes deluxe still has the stock exhaust on it almost 1 1/2 years later!

Never have been a huge fan of any of the 2:1 exhausts. They are not pretty to me but I am gonna love the extra power I get from them.
