error code and fix?

i have an intermittent error code that is being thrown . 1358 which is efi rear cylinder secondary. i hve checked the plug wire connections to plugs and coil..seem good. is it likely plug wires? coil? all of the above? what should i do first to problem solve this? the code has thrown about thrwee times now.

change the plug wires....buy a nother coil?

when mine did the same a few years ago it showed the coil was bad on the scanner , but i changed coil and wires to play it safe

The first thing you should do is give me the WideGlide, if it is throwing that code it is time to give it away. You had better just buy a new one and not worry about it :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: Sorry, but I have no useful info to help ya. :mrgreen:

Headdoc, had that happen, pulled off the plug wire and cleaned the outside of the spark plug, with a clean rag. Put wire back on, Presto no more code... :wink:

Hey Terry,

I can't tell ya how many times I've changed spark plugs and then thrown that code. It's always been because I didn't push the spark plug connector completely down on the spark plug until I heard that snap. I'm not doubting your ability, but your bikes too new to have to worry about wires just yet and I know first hand how easy that is to do.

Also check the other end that goes into the coil.

well problem solved! coil was headed south so I replaced it .
