Default Screaming eagle ignition ? Help!!

Ok, so I bought a screaming chicken ignition for my 05 FLHT. Carb bike with no security system. I am having a devil of a time getting my bike to accept the new ignition. There is a sequence you have to go through in order to get the bike to write its password to the ignition. The directions that came with it are very vague. I have searched for the procedure on the net and have found limited results. I called the local stealer and they say they can install it for about an hours labor. I call bullshit. People buy these things all the time. There has to be a better set of directions out there somewhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sorry I didn't have a chance to look into this one Lane. Been busy as fuck. I had another guy quit Monday and with two new guys on board my days are jumpin'. Hopefully tomorrow.

I have tried every sequence possible. I called today and scheduled an appointment at the local stealership to get it done. I will be there saturday morning at 9 am. I hate to pay someone to do shit for me but this time they win. What a PITA!!!!!

Update...I had my stealership install my new ignition today and it fixed the weird ticking sounds I have been hearing. Bike seems smoother and maybe even a little stronger. They only charged me $25 to install the module and it was well worth it.

Oh God. $25. Yeah it's well worth it. I have the procedure here in my service manual. It is a bitch because you are doing all these cryptic things and the whole thing takes about 30 minutes. And if you screw up? You have to start all over. AND you have to pay complete attention to the lights the entire time, or you screw up.

$25 very well worth it.

But if you run into that again, call me. I have the procedure and I made some notes on it.
