Default Cam Cover Torque Specs?

I replaced my cam cover gasket on my 05 Deluxe and followed the service manual torque recomendations of 125-155 inch lbs. I was talking to my wrench about this and he said it was to 90-120, and I said check the manual. He did, and he was right. I went home and checked mine and I was right. Damn!

So the question is this. Check your service manuals between 03 and 05. What year did the specs change, and what for?

They dropped the torque in 04 or 05 because allot of the bolts were breaking...

Hey cool, did you misread or did I misunderstand your reply. The torque specs increased from 03 to 05. I was hoping a few of us could check our manuals to see what year.

Breaking from less torque?
