Default Tornado Time

I awoke today to the lovely Tornado sirens going off in the distance and wondering if this was gonna be the one that hits ... Apparantly someone reported a tornado down at the intersection of I-20 and 360 ... About 10 miles from my house . It was lightening like a Mofo and raining but it all cleared away in about 45 minutes ...

Whew - I hate it when they are that close to home ....

I was waiting with my camera just in case Watched what hit ya'll form right over our house. Anyone from the South knows [or damn well ought to ] what the air "feels" like when you step outside before one of those. Sure was hoping to catch it dropping out of the wall cloud below .. looking northeast from my backyard

The little hail we got.

You guys take care down there. We get them up here as well and I can say it's a nasty experience to see one go by.

As dangerous and deadly as they are, I find them incredibly fascinating.

The ones I have seen left me with that peaceful inner feeling that all is as it should be in the universe. Similar to the feelings I get when I view a waterfall or an awesome thunderstorm or the ocean.

While driving to work yesterday I had 2 Bald Eagles fly within 50 feet of me and that same feeling ran through me.

I have always been a fan of severe weather, unfortunately it does hurt and kill people and that part of it sucks.

Easy FB! LOL
I loved to lay in the grass as a kid and watch the storm clouds, till it started raining and I had to go in the house. I find them interesting but don't get a peaceful feeling. Just like to watch them swirl.
