Lanesplitting in Texas?

Got this tidbit from another board. If you agree with lanesplitting or not, we should all call Austin and support this bill. It gives motorcyclists atleast 1 more favorable bill. Atleast they aren't taking our rights away this time. I do think that lanesplitting done at speeds of below 20 mph would be ok in certain circumstances.

There is a bill up for debate next Wed. It would allow lane splitting as long as traffic is moving 20 M.P.H or less, the rider has a helmet on and didn't split in a school zone. This is a good bill and a biker friendly bill. The bill is S.B.506 by Senator Corona of Dallas. The number to the committee reviewing it is 512-463-0067. Please call to express your support.

It would definitely keep your bikes from over heating in a traffic jamb. As long as some prick doesn't throw his door open in front of you.... :smile:
