the best part, I get woke up Tuesday night, and told my Daughter's ceiling has sprung a leak  Just got down from the attic a few minutes ago, there's a cut in the roof base from like a hammer, or something  Gotta figure out how to patch it. Must also mean the shingles aren't doing the trick, but don't see any missing ones. Me and attics don't get along, they are very small for my fatass

Luckily it wasn't that bad of a leak. It only leaked the day we got 4-5 inches. It was about to down the sheetrock so I cut a whole in it to let it drain. Thinking about getting some tar to put on it from the underside, and forcing the wood that's splintered back in place..........

That sucks! The water could be coming in higher and running along behind the shingles till it finds a way thru. Is there any vents or flashings above the hole?

No, they are all on the other side of the roof. I'm about to get up there and scope it out

If you find the leak I'll be more than happy to come up next weekend to help ya fix it - used to be a roofer for a while... plus I hear there's a party that weekend somewhere... lol

Thanks Dan, but it's the weekend after next :burp: I went to the Depot and got some sealer. Put some under, and on top of the suspect shingle. Guess next turd floater we get, I know  But your expertise is more than welcome since it's in the room you usually stay in
