Are you ready for Ike, Gulf Coast people?

Is everyone located around the gulf coast ready for hurricane Ike?
I got plenty of batteries, got the patio furniture inside, wind chimes down, potted plants secured, 16' gate secured, groceries & drinks bought, 3 butane bottles filled for cooking when the power goes out, meds, food for animals for enough days if we lose power for an extended period. Did I miss anything? Friday night we are going to have one hell of a Hurricane party across the street in a neighbor's garage. PAAAAARRRRTTTTYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!
The last big hurricane we got was Alicia in 1983, so we are due. I just hope I get a new roof. Our Chapter meeting got cancelled also for Saturday. When you quit seeing me online that means I lost power.
Till then I'll let ya'll know how bad it is 100 miles from the coast.
We are "sheltering in place".

ps Water, plenty of good clean water. You can live 3 weeks without food only 3 days without water.

i just got an email from screamin and she has plans to leave soon. she is in the mandatory evacuation area. then i got a voice mail that says she didnt make it out in time. i've been calling her all day and getting busy signals so i dont know whts really happening. now i'm worried.
