it only took 300 tries
hot damn! i've sent out close to 300 resume's in the last couple of weeks and finally got a bite. Toyota in San Antonio just sent me an email and wants to do a phone interview. wish me luck. isnt there somebody here at HZ that works for them in Canada. STG or somebody? I could use a little insight to there interviewing process and maybe have a little advantage.

Great news MLC.
If it makes you feel any better.... I read a deal the other day where an expert group got to gether and wrote fake resumes that would perfectly match job postings. They only got a response 1 in 7 times from a "PERFECT" resume. Of course most of the job postings are to meet government requirements to allow more H1B's and other bullshit and are not real anyway. Again, great news!!

 I really hope the interview goes well for you. Its aggravating to say the least. I quit counting the number of telcom resumes I've sent out

MLC, So when do we find out if you got the job?
That would be cool then you would be a new Texan! I don't know anything about the hiring process but from what I've heard from RN about the Toyota rail head here the employees are very well taken care of. Good benefits too. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks all. i've been trying to get back to Texas for a couple years now but the right opportunity hasnt come my way just yet. With the impending layoffs coming here i'm trying to find anything that gives me a chance to stay employed about 7 more years until i retire. i've had it with contract positions that can be cancelled on a whim.
