Default Motorcyclist Dragged By Hit & Run Driver In Dallas

I dont know this young man, but what I do know is ~ yesterday ~ they were forced to amputate his right arm & right leg. I've thought about this kid since the story aired on Thursday nite's news. A thought or prayer for this young man & his family would probably go a long way.

Quote:
(CBS 11 News) DALLAS Dallas police continue to search for the driver of a truck they say slammed into a motorcyclist and then drove off.

The accident happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday at Frankford and Preston in far north Dallas.

Police say the pickup truck and the motorcycle were heading south on Preston when the truck clipped the bike. One witness said it looked like the truck hit the motorcyclist intentionally.
Dallas Hit & Run

I hope they find & fry the bastard responsible for this.

From a recent biker newsletter I received..

Quote:
6/15/07 - From Big Spring CMA chapter, Wings of Grace: Keep Cortney Wilkinson of Dallas and his family (Nolan, Texas) in your prayers. Wednesday evening he was hit on his motorcycle and dragged some distance. The driver of the other vehicle left him, so this is a hit-and-run incident. Cortney is 26 years old. Because of the dragging, he has lost an arm, part of a leg, has severe muscle and organ trauma, and cannot survive another needed surgery at this point.

I'd love to find that fucker before the cops got him.

If you mess with someone on a motorcycle, you may as well be messing with me. Because it very well could be me.

That really sucks...Last night on my way to work I had some asshole in a van turn right coming across the center line into my lane. He almost clipped the car in front of me. I swerved onto the edge of the road just at the shoulder to miss him. If I had been in our van it would have been a collision for sure. You have to be alert at all times folks and look out for assholes like that!!

I'm just sick about it .. This one has really bothered me since it was a hit & run.

Update
6/21/07
Cortney Wilkinson of Dallas and his family (Nolan, Texas). He was hit on his motorcycle and dragged some distance. Courtney has 2nd degree burns on the arm that survived the accident and on his back. The leg he lost below the hip; he may lose the hip also. They have a long journey ahead.
