Default Texas Hill Country

Riding "the Threes" was a ball. Apologies and credit due to TFB for turning us onto this spectacular ride. It is located west of Austin in the Texas Hill Country and consists of 3 roads all with a 3 prefix. Highways 335,336,and 337 (and hwy 41)form a loop and are a great way to spend the day. Start at Leaky Tx. There is a motorcycle museum in Vanderpool, and Camp wood has a nice little resaurant for lunch. There are hills, curves and breathtaking scenery on this ride. The Old Spanish Trail restaurant is in Bandera and if you have the urge, Fredricksburg,San Antonio ,Luckenback and Enchanted rock are within easy riding distance. There is even a replica of Stonehenge in Hunt Tx close by. The Lost Maples nature area is very close too. You probably can't see it all in a weekend, so if you can, plan to spend several days riding the Texas Hill Country.

Sure, Anytime. We live about 4 1/2-5 hours from there, but if you are thinking of heading this way, holler at us. FB05,Elly May, Msbetty and I have all been down there and had a blast. I would not mind doing some southeast riding someday either. The Dragon sounds like a hoot and the Carolinas were always very scenic.
