Default NHRA Fall Nationals

NHRA Fall Nationals

Just thought I would share some pix from our weekend at the races. Was hot as hell both days between 88-94 degrees and humid. Ugh .. Luckily they had plenty of adult beverages.

My hometown track - The Texas Motorplex

July 4th, 1991 FB05 and I went to the Motorplex for the night of fire. They had that guy with the Peterbilt transport with the jet engines mounted on it there that night. When he came under the tower where your first picture shows the sign reading "Texas Motorplex" they had a huge "Why ask why, try bud dry" banner hanging. When he dropped the kerosene into his exhaust the flames shot out so far they burned the banner right off the tower. True story.

Cheers,
Speed
