Default Texas Hill Country Run October October 9th - 11th, 2009

Ok, lets get the ball rollin, I think we are all in agreement to some changes to HCR, it's a Great Run, and we all want to keep it that way!

Personally I Love The Koyote Ranch, it's out in the Country, no pigs around to put a damper on our late night festivities, plus they have always treated us like royalty. That being said, all the negatives mentioned are true. Pea gravel is bad for Biker's, the beds are small & hard, etc... a few changes are in order to keep this the great ride it has always been. Here are a few of the suggestion for lodging so far:

You will have to share that story. She must have been something else.

I saw many cabin/slash B and B options from Kerrville to Camp Wood. We just need to research and find the best place. The place that is the best value for the money and works the best for everyone's plans.

I love Llano but the Sisters are hard to do on a day ride out of Llano. We could do other things like Luchenbach, Fredricksburg, Enchanted Rock, Willow City Loop, Inks Lake, Lake Buchanon, Castell, BBQ, etc etc.

George, The folks that are opening the Walden were at the lunch stop not to be mentioned this year during HCR..........
I'm sure we can find a place we all agree on, keep the ideas flowing! I would personally like a bathroom/shower in my room, and maybe a mattress on the King size bed  for under 100 per night, or two double beds we could share with another couple........

edit: No pea gravel

There is also the Devil's Backbone that could be done out of Llano..... But like George said there is a bunch of other places in the Kerrville/Tarpley/Three Sisters area....

Well, devil's backbone is a tough ride out of Llano.

I have run the sisters from Canyon Lake, but it's about an hour to get to the OST for breakfast.

And isn't there a new B&B right near Koyote?

The same weekend works for me - just can't be UT-OU weekend this year, cause we're planning on being at the game this year! Hook 'Em!
