Fans of all ages flock to Willie Nelson's Picnic each year and refer to this all day event as the country music version of Woodstock. In addition to Willie, the impressive country musician with a deep catalog of great songs, this year's picnic will be a reunion of featured artists: Merle Haggard, Ray Price, Los Lonely Boys, Asleep At The Wheel, David Allan Coe, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Billy Joe Shaver. TR where is that houston raceway park ? I know where Tomball pky is or it was the old 149 now 249 I think..... Is that the track on I-10 towards Beaumont around Baytown?

This new facility is right off 249 & the Sam Houston tollroad on the northwest side of H-town.

Ok i'm not familiar with that track.. I knew there was a drag strip out I-10.. Just haven't kept up with the times as always... I lived of 249 for a while inside 1960 a few miles but all that has changed so much I don't recognise much around there anymore... :???: So It sounds like ya'll will be close to the action then :grin: Are ya'll going on the bike :motor:

We do play on riding down. Unless weather or something comes up. Would like to be down there early enough to even catch the horse races & following fireworks show .. we'll see

BigShovel & polly some of his wild bunch are gonna go too so .. no tellin how that weekend may turnout :lol: :lol:

ETA: only bad thing - no cameras - at all in the showgrounds. they got rules for just about every show & willie's production co. dont allow it
