Default Bike definitely has tools

..to be 'da Boss

Cant believe this is on NASCAR weekend I soooooo wanna see that bad mofo. In case anyone is interested --

12:00 AM CDT on Sunday, October 28, 2007

I thought I had outgrown motorcycles, so to speak – which is probably a self-serving way of saying I've gotten too old to be bouncing off Dallas' moonscape streets on a regular basis.

Then again, I may have spoken too soon. How about a motorcycle with a 6-liter, 400-horse Corvette engine wedged into it? Remember those crazy drag bikes in the '60s that had Corvette motors turned sideways in them? The Boss Hoss BHC-3 LS2 is a more civilized version of those bikes – with the engine mounted more conventionally front-to-rear.

The bike, by the way, weighs about 1,100 pounds – meaning, as you know, that you'll be aboard something with a power-to-weight ratio of less than 3-to-1. That sounds like the kind of motorcycle you need to lash yourself to. You don't ride it so much as mount it and get a friend to light the fuse.

If that sounds appealing to you, too, check out the Boss Hoss Powertour, which blasts into Texas Boss Hoss Cycles in Grand Prairie next weekend. The dealership is at 2125 W. Pioneer Parkway B-1, and demo rides will be available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Boss Hoss says these beasts are engineered for total performance and not just pure speed. Some models, for example, have Brembo disc brakes and Air Ride suspension pieces. For more information, visit www.bosshoss.com or www.texasbosshoss.com

Hey, what's a little road rash every now and then if you get to do 0-to-60 in about two seconds?

TR I have ridden more than a hand full of them during my stay in the motorcycle industry I personally didn't care for them. I guess if I had unlimited funds I would have one in my stable to point at when friends were over.. Go ck them out I may be your cup of tea...

I was on one in Sturgis, it had a 502 with 530 hp. They wanted me to take it for a test drive but I declined since there was way to many people on the roads to truly use its power. I did start it up and scare the shit out of some young girls that happened to be behind it  It sure sounded nice!!!

We saw some very cool Boss Hosses at the Big Texas Toy Run last year. Old boy about 75 years old that looked like he might have a couple of coins in the bank had one with a Viper engine in it. I figured about $150K worth of motorcycle.

Most of the folks I have talked to who owned one regretted it and tried to sell it to me. I think it is really true that unless you have lots of space, it would never be used to it's full potential.
