Default Texas Hill Country Run 2008

Hill Country Run 2008, and beyond.........
I know this Event has always been in October, but other's have expressed the desire to come, and that is the time sloted for Daytona Bike Week. Since Daytona isn't likely to change for us, we may as well change to help give other's a chance to attend this Great Event!

What say you fine folks at HZ?

I voted for April, but we'll have to keep in mind that its historically rainy in April in the Hill Country. The only other thing I would add is about July/August - for those of us who may be shelling out some major cash for ROT in June for RVs & stuff may not be willing to cough up that much more $$$ for Koyote back to back.

Just a thought ... but what about moving the HCR run to labor day weekend and holding the DFW bash another weekend, since it's more of a party than a riding event? That would allow you guys to host the DFW thing in April - rain, or shine and save the really good weather for HCR.

In Texas it's hard to plan around rain, since we usually get so little of it. Hell all the way to HCRII we rode in upper 40's and rain the entire way down there, and that was in October.............I'm not really in favor of moving DFW, but if y'all want to switch them we can add September to the Poll

I would vote against April - usually more chance of rain then than in the fall - I know - exceptions to every rule.

I would say end of September or we keep it in October. Hell, around here, we could push it two weeks AFTER Daytona cause the weather is usually still good.

i'm kinda between a rock and a hard place on this. i'd like to see what it's like in april but yall say there is more chance of rain. another ding against april is i'd like to try the MO. run and thats in april right? i dont think i could swing the time off and the cost that near tax time for both. so for now i've voted for october.

this is going to be impossible to please everybody.
