Anyhow guys & gals ~ Real world food for thought. We really need to determine if we are going to do the RV thing next year. Ya'll may/may not know, but last years RV spots sold out 27 minutes after they went on sale at midnight 1/1/2007! The following are todays prices from a company I looked at last year. There are certainly other companies out there. This is the average.

36'Cedar Creek 5th Wheel Trailer - 3 Slides - Sleeps 8

$ 560.00 ~ 4 days {no pickups/deliveries on Sunday}
$ 234.00 ~ Other Expenses {include linens for 8, cooking utensils & cleaning the big bastid when its returned}
$ 250.00 ~ Damage Deposit
$1145.00 ~ Due @ Pickup

$ 300.00 ~ RV Lot {purple or lime section}
$ 90.00 ~ Tix {last yrs price was $45/head}

Not to mention something capable of hauling it -OR- maybe TFB will rent us his truck.. LOL

Man that is pretty pricey for rentals.

Yes we do and it will sleep 9 or more if we put someone on the floor lol. It has a slide out, linens and cookware and air conditioner. :smile:

Elly .. the lot prices depend on the size of the RV/camper & what you need there. The 30amp hookups are only in the purple & lime zones. The crapper-caravan services everyone no matter & there are fresh water hookups thru out the fairgrounds to utilize for a fee.

I agree its steep & thats why I wanted to point it out early 'cause its certainly more than hotels TFB mentioned access to a 5th wheel too I believe .. but I'll let him speak for that. I just checked it all out last year & it was steep but doable. Anywhere the party is .. is fine with me!

i'm not awake yet this morning but her goes.

the hotel rooms were about $65 a night this year right? so with taxes and all the incidental fees it came to about $225 total i think. i'm willing to commit to double that to help make it happen. i'll do my best to get enough vacation to come down early and help pickup/setup or stay and extra day to tear down/return but i cant guarantee that.

Our room for three days was around $350, so I'm good with staying in Ellen's free :lol:

Seriously, we need to see how much interest there is in the trailer thing asap, time is important on this one, especially since the sites will go so damn fast. I figure we need at least 3, amybe 4 decent size trailer's to do this HZ style?? also need to delegate the person {Kelli} who will be making the reservations, as time will be of the essence on the 1st!
