Default MightyWarlock's 3rd Annual Tour Of The Twisties, Sat. Aug. 4

It's been almost 3 years trying to put this ride together, and actually FINISH IT the way I have always wanted to, but never yet done.
the 1st time i tried, I CRASHED in a sandy lot in the middle of 110 degree weather, as i became dehydrated and wanted to stop for something to drink, only i stopped in SAND!
I tried it again with some other folks and it got too late, and we cut out the last portion of the planned route in order for the riders to get home on time.
Last year, when i tried to do it again, there were wildfires going on here in CA, which closed off a major portion of the route, and we had a detour that didnt really work out, and ended up in Solvang!
I am determined this time to let nothing stand in my way of FINISHING this ride the way I want to finish it!
AND! This time i have a Brand New Starting point, which adds even more Incredible roads and riding to this already over the top ride! The Ride will Start in Universal City, CA, near Universal Studios and Hollywood). The ride will finish at the intersection of the 2 and the 210 freeways in La Canada, at the base of the Angeles National Forest.

I am going to do this ride May 12th.
If you have been with me a while, you know this ride, and a precious few have been on "parts" of it. It is a ride that includes over 300 miles of beautiful countryside, twisty mountain roads, major bike pitstops (Rock Store, Deer Lodge, Past the Pine Mountain Inn, and The Rock Inn), and is a ride a lot of you just miss!

if anyone is interested in doing this ride with me, I say Saturday May 12th, as this is a high mileage ride, more than just a ride to eat and hangout type...and it will give folks who have to work on Monday a day to rest up from the long ride if they join in.

So there you have it. May 12th, where will you be??

Don't know if anyone from here is even interested in joining in on this ride, but it's now a month away, and i have narrowed down the meeting time and place. meeting time is 8:30am, leaving at 9am from the Mobil gas station at 3240 Cahuenga Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90068.

it is with great regret, that I must inform all who were going to go on my Tour of the Twisties ride, next weekend on Saturday, May 12th, 2007,

HAS BEEN CANCELLED...

2 weeks ago I crashed my bike in the rain up in Santa Maria, and while i thought i would be able to ride it just for the ride on the 12th, the dealership where i am getting it fixed claims it isn't safe to ride until they fix it up...
which means i am out of a bike until all is fixed, which will take quite a few weeks.

Sorry to cancel at the last moment...but i didnt find out about my bike (which will cost about $5000.00 to repair) until just today.

this ride will be rescheduled at a later date, that i will hope will work for all.

Once again, sorry to have to cancel the ride, but I can't lead a ride without a bike. Hope you all understand.
