DAYTONA BEACH -- It is time for motorcyclists from across the region to descend on Bruce Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona for the annual Ride For Children.
The ride is called rolling thunder, and Sunday morning, it will be heard through Volusia County and into Lake County. As News 13 Volusia County reporter Jason Wheeler explains, Rossmeyer's charity lives on after his sudden death. For the first time in its 15 years, Rossmeyer will not lead the ride from Ormond Beach to Camp Boggy Creek -- the camp for seriously ill children in Lake County. Killed in a motorcycle accident this past July, those who knew Rossmeyer said this year's ride will be tough...but special. Click here to read the rest of the story. Cheers, Speed |
