I feel absolutely awesome. We left out this morning when the chill was still on the air. We rode up to Tellico via the Hiwassee River then to the Cheraholla Skyway. The road was littered with old broken branches and garbage at times but we managed well. It was those downed trees from the winter storms that really wore me out LOL. We rode the Cheraholla to Highway 129 to ride the Dragon then hit the Highway home. Holy hell the wind was kicking like I've never seen. I didn't think it was possible to ride sideways and still go in a straight line but alas it can happen. Another lesson for the Mom's. We had a great day. We rode in this evening and now I'm ready for a long hot shower and a good sleep. What an absolutely fantastic day.
Does it get any better than this? I just don't think so.

Wow Mom's sounds like you had a great day. I know about the wind part, Squirrel and I went for a ride this afternoon. When we crossed the long bridge on hwy 170, the wind would blow you over a lane. Added some fun to it and made me remember that March is always windy, so we have more to go...

Damn good ride indeed. The Dragon was not busy at all, it was nice to ride it without hundreds of people up there for a change. The store at the end of the Dragon will be closed until May, they are doing some renovations and making it larger. The Cherohala was kinda chilly at 6000 feet, there was some ice formations still on some of the cliff faces which made for cool scenery. Very windy in areas but it sure beat being at work  I think our total round trip was 215 miles
