Default Connectivity Changes

We are getting ready to move Hawg Zone (and dozens of other sites) off our current pipe (a pair of bonded T1s) to a much bigger and faster fiber connection. The ISP who provides our connectivity installed a new router this morning in preparation for the change. There are currently some issues with this router (which we have no access to), which may interrupt service for some people.

Please bear with us while we work through this upgrade.

Thanks.

SM

It must be a Monday morning ... now we are being flooded ...

This guy has hit the server with over a 1000 concurrent connections and is sucking up resources like nuts ...

Hmmm, wonder if this is going to be an ongoing problem?

It's a little bigger than that. The logs have recorded 189,000 hits across various protocols from that person.

We still have our ISP working on router problems, plus that clown decided to hit us at the same time. I'm just waiting for problem number three to hit now. Lol.

And right on schedule number three hit today in the form of a significant snow storm, which has brought down portions of the local networks from both phone and cable providers.

On the upside our router problems appear to be fixed and we have taken significant measures to block attacks from bots and/or people hiding behind stealth proxys and/or infected systems.

The person(s) noted above who hit this site repeatedly did so from multiple IPs, but left a lot of breadcrumbs, which will be turned over to their service provider along with server logs showing behavior that violates the terms of service for any normal ISP.
