Good Morning one and all, especially Fubar. I started this just becauce I know how much Fubar loves these threads. :smile:

For those of us that ARE morning people we get alot of info in the morning. These threads are just like in the camp grounds when folks are just getting up, having that first cup of coffee, and start to chit-chat over the fire. My wife and I went camping that fall and if we hadn't said that morning hello we would have never learned about and taken a tour of a copper mine that was close by.

So these morning threads have some merit for some. For others they can just sleep thru them and pass them by.

This is one of the really nice things about this place. It has welcomed and opened it doors for spirited debate. And I love a good, healthy, respectable debate.

Just because ONE person doesn't like a thread type doen't mean we shouldn't have them. It just means that person should just move on to the other threads. That's all.

One of the things I respect and like most from Mike is that he is up front and honest with what he feels.

I wonder how long it will take before this thread has to be moved to the pig pen?

Maybe "good morning" threads should just be started there. It might be best if we just treat them in the same vein as political threads.

I can't say that I am crazy about these threads either. I'm not against them to the same level as Fub, but I'm still not a big fan of them. They're a little too touchy feely for this grumpy Canuck - especially at this time of year when we have had to deal with months of cold weather and snow.

This one maybe off to the Pig Pen as it was intended just for such a debate. But in general I feel the morning threads will always be much more casual, just like at your place, we sat on your deck, most of us are just trying to start a connection, find that first cup o' Joe, and clear the cobwebs out of our heads.

Oh, and last night things were just getting rolling nicely in chat and all the power went out on my block for over an hour. So that is why I disappeared from chat last night and never came back.
