I agree it's all the Republicans fault, the Democrats only have our best interest at heart........LMAO! I don't really think it matters anymore, my Countries politician's have abandoned me, and my ideals. That is a very compelling video for bailing out the big 3 auto manufacturers. I might support the idea if I thought the money would make them solvent again, but it's my limited understanding that it would only extend their ability to continue operations for a couple months.

I've been worried about how this will affect you & Mark both. I'm going out on a limb here .. but all the yappin I hear about - "GD UAW, paying folks $75/hr" is whats killing GM.

Is that really true? I guess I would be hugely surprised to find out that your rate was $75/hr. If so, I'm a fucking fool for not working there :mrgreen:

I'm personally in favor of keeping GM alive & kicking all Sr. Mgmt to the curb - no bonuses, no golden parachutes, etc. I've seen the numbers & I've seen the city's numbers for what its doing to Arlington right now with the rolling layoffs, numerous shifts going dark ... People who are pissed off now about their city taxes should be praying that GM doesnt go under. Because the city/county IS going to get their dollars somewhere -- outta my pocket :???:

GM specifically - its total failure would pretty much mean the steel industry & all ancillary industrys who support it can throw in the towel too. Thats awfully hard to swallow. :neutral:
