![]() The Kancamagus Highway ~ Conway to Lincoln You can call it "the Kanc" for short, as locals do, and you can revel in the pure pleasure of motoring through this thickly treed mountain gap, as more than a million visitors do each year. The 34-mile road cuts an east-west channel through the 800,000-acre White Mountain National Forest. When the dense stands of leafy deciduous trees exchange their summer greens for the dazzling shades of autumn, they are illuminated against the immutable evergreen of their coniferous counterparts, making this a most dramatic and beloved leaf-peeping route. Motorcyclists relish the twists and turns as the highway climbs to nearly 3,000 feet at the peak of Mount Kancamagus. For more info click: Here |

LOL
![]() We had this ride cancelled - when Gzr's business trip got cancelled - last year. But next time he has to go to NH in the fall I hope we can again work this back in. Just rent a bike for a couple of days & stay over the weekend then fly home. BikerBabe has some awesome photos from that run. |

Oh FB05 you have never seen anything like riding the roads in the fall. Last year riding those roads around Lake Placid and stuff it was amazing. If you want awesome come up to Northern Ontario in the fall now that took my breath away. Its not cold at all. You might need to wear your leathers but the real cold riding is not till late October or November.
