Ride for Life

The Upper Township Volunteer Rescue Squad is hosting a motorcycle ride. Ride for Life registration is 10am to 12 noon at Obadiah's Restaurant (321 Roosevelt Blvd. Marmora, NJ 08223) Rain or shine event. A self guided ride through scenic south jersey. After the ride be our guest for a pig roast-soft drinks-Live bands-Games and vendors at The Root Cellar Tavern (38 Tuckahoe Rd. Dorothy, NJ) starting at 3pm. It costs $15.00 for riders and $10.00 for passengers. Tickets will be available for the pig roast only for $15.00 per person. Special event shirts will be available for purchase. Questions call 609 628-2486. Pre-registration is appreciated. Registration forms are at Millville Harley Davidson, Tuckahoe Motorsports, Upper Township Rescue Squad. You can also register online. 3rd Annual Poker Run & Bike Show

Please come out and join us for our 3rd Annual Poker Run and bike show on June 10th, 2007. This event is being held to raise funds for our volunteer fire company. All funds will be used to buy the necessary equipment to keep our firefighters safe in the Communities time of need. Sign in will be at Union Gardens Fire House, 235 Park Ave in Union Beach NJ from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. The donation the day of the ride is $20.00 for riders and $10.00 for passengers. Donations in advance are $15.00 for riders and $10.00 for passengers. The first 100 to pre-register get a free t-shirt. The ride will end at Union Hose Fire Company in Union Beach with music by The Holy Goats, a ride in bike show, tattoo contest, door prizes, free food, raffles, and vendors. $200 will be awarded for the best hand and trophies for the best rides. Bikes, Beers and Babes

Whiplash Choppers, a custom bike builder in Central Jersey, is sponsoring Bikes, Beers and Babes, a motorcycle and chopper show. The event will be held Sunday, June 17, from 1 p.m. until dark, at the North Brunswick Pub on Route 1 North. The pub is a co-sponsor of the event. This is an opportunity for those of us in the trade to show new models, share giveaways, display promotional material and provide information. Whiplash Choppers‚ Lasche is a custom mechanical engineer/fabricator and former pro motocross racer, having raced successfully for nearly 25 years. A racing injury nearly cost him his leg within the last two years, but he's now racing again. More than five years ago, he started Whiplash in Hightstown, NJ, to build custom motorcycles, choppers and hot rods. His custom career can be traced back to his boyhood when, at about 10, he learned how to torch and weld at his dad's family-owned garage. I can create one-off projects for people who want something different, whether it's a brake pedal or a custom hot rod or chopper. I want to take the time to help design and build people's dreams, said Lasche. Tickets for the Bikes, Beers and Babes show are $10 in advance; $12 at the door.

2nd Annual Scholarship Run

Please join us for the 2nd Annual North Stelton Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company's Scholarship Run! This Is A Family Oriented Event! Registration will begin at 8AM at the Fire Department at 70 Haines Avenue, Piscataway, NJ 08854. The ride will begin after registration is complete and will consist of a scenic tour of the area and will end back at the firehouse. The 2nd annual Ride for Autism benefiting Cosac Will start @ hanover Powersports in Whippany, go through scenic Delaware Water Gap and finish in Stokes State Forest where a picnic and raffle drawing occur.
