Default Tony Romo

Ok, today I was listening to Colin Cowherd on ESPN, and he actually got me to thinking about Romo. Too beat an elite QB/Team usually takes an Elite QB. Is Romo the guy? 1st off he went un-recruited by ALL level 1 Colleges, and had to play for Eastern Illinois, then he was so good there that he went TOTALLY undrafted by every Team in the N.F.L.! Is he an Elite QB? Can all these coaches, and scouts be wrong??? He was also about to be cut by the Cowboys until Q. Carter got busted, so he wasn't even very well thought of here. Maybe, just maybe what we have here in Romo is a plain old average QB who may never win any BIG games, especially when they count, in December. He's 7-10 in December.............
He (Romo) for sure isn't the biggest problem the Boys have right now. Their best CB Newman got toasted by a no name, nobody seemed to want to tackle. The Boys are the only Team in the N.F.L. without a sack The Offensive Coordinator decided that while they were Rushing the ball for over 200 yards, they should keep letting Romo throw up lollipops to NYG You learn in PeeWee Football that if a particular part of the Offense is working you keep at it until they can stop it, geeez........

ok, off rant for now :0
What do y'all think?

It is still early with lots of football to play! This season may be a tough one to call. Don't give up on your buys to early.

Not about last week Mark, just in general.
oh, you don't need to worry about me being a Cowboys Fan, I've been one since the 1968 Ice Bowl. I'm just not a blind homer

I've got to laugh - wasn't there a thread on this very site all about how Romo was the best Cowboy QB ever?

Maybe this Skins fan should stay out of it, but IMHO Romo is in fact a very good QB except in the most important way - he has not and apparently can not win important games. So in the end, do you Dallas fans want a QB that can set every Dallas passing, yardage, TD, etc records without ever winning in the post season? Or would you rather have a QB that never breaks any of Aikmans records except superbowl wins?

Did you not read the part where Colin Cowherd got me thinking? When you state a opinion is it not allowed to change I don't know what kind of QB Romo will be, but If I had the choice I would take Dilfer if it meant Super Bowl wins, cause in the end that's all I care about

I think Romo has the physical attributes to be a championship quarterback, but also I think he lacks focus. Take a look in his eyes and compare him to Brady, or Roethlisberger and tell me who looks more focused on a consistent basis.

Cheers,
Speed

I too am somewhat concerned with Romo, for all the reasons Colin outlined if nothing else. I hated Troy until he won the big one. I thought Troy was (and still do) too robotic. That is why it is a team sport too.

Romo isn't protecting the football. He has gotten us beat with that shit before too. If you can't protect my football, I ain't letting you touch it.

We'll see. I haven't given up on him by any stretch. I am very disappointed. He is glad I (nor Bill Parcells) ain't his coach this week.

For the record, I haven't given up on him either.........yet! All I know is what I've seen so far, not very impressive when it counts, kinda like t.o. always choked at the wrong times
