I don't have a team and may never again. I have been a die hard sports fan and coached many many years.
At this point in my life, professional sports is starting to look like one if the most rediculous things in the world today. Who gives a shit what all these black people do? Think of your thought process when you see all those soccer pukes, and they are white guys, going crazy over the world cup. That is kind of how I am getting about all of it. It just doesn't matter really. That said I really like that shit like the catch to win the Super Bowl. I do belive their are winners and losers. Jimmy Johnson was a winner and so much so he overcame Jerry Jones stupidity. To tell you the truth. People forget but the Minnesota Vikings won those Super Bowls for Dallas with that stupid trade for Herscel Walker, otherwise Jerry and Jimmy wouldn't have won shit either. When you get all those picks you can mess up and still be OK. |

Oh but it does matter...no matter how shitty my week has been, knowing I have the Steelers to watch on Sunday...the whole world can go fuck themselves on Sundays because I am in STEELER world, and all is good for 3 hours.....uplifts my spirits to say the least...players on that team over the years have changed the way I look at difficult times...Rocky Blier for one...if you don't know his story, google him....The Steelers and the men who wear that uniform Black or White, inspire me, motivate me, teach me....I can say without a doubt it was the Steelers way that gave me much of my never quit, never say die, attitude in sports and in life...I remember those 6am runs, followed by 9am 2hour practices, followed by evening practices....I just wanted to say fuck it so many times...but I would think of Blier, no joke....
I remember about 8 years ago I got canned for the first time in my life, and it was his inspiration that kept me positive and I never looked back... Hell I was a Steelers fan when I couldn't watch them on TV, all I had was my Dad's Sports Illustrated...Blier's story had me hooked, it wasn't until 1982 or so that we got US cable stations, and even then we only saw the Pats, but at least I could see Hi Lites of The Steelers...The Steelers like or lump are a part of me...!!! Believe me there were years I wanted to Choke KOrdel Fuckin Stewart almost every Sunday, but they stuck with him for years, interception after interception, I thought Cohwer was going to be canned, but they stuck with him too....so we The STeelers Nation stuck with them too, as much as it hurt....(no too mention Bubby Brister, Neil O'Donnel) Hell we went almost 20 years without a legitimate quarterback... Sports is much more then "It just don't matter"..... To me anyways....just sayin

Don't mean to burst your bubble there Mike, but there's a huge difference in how the Steeler's are run, and how the Cowplops have been run since they became jerry's kids, eh. It's really hard to be a Cowplops fan right now. I, like you, have always lived for my Teams games, but the way they finished up this season has left a shitty taste that I haven't had ever. Even in the 1-15 season....
