..the Texas State Champions!!!


We are the 6 - Man Football Independent league champs.

Last night we went to 10-2 on the season with a win over the San Antonio FEAST who had not been beat in three years (last loss was to us three years ago)

Our playoffs were run in an "Ironman" format

Thursday and Friday we played a shortened game of 2 12 minute halves where we won our first game 60-6 and our second game 51-13.

Saturday night we played a full length game against the Southern region champs who had played the same format Thursday and Friday.

This game may have been the best 6-man game in Texas this year. Both teams were exceptionally fast and tough as well as well coached. The officiating was a little overbearing, but evenly done. The Jaguars had 3 goal line stands, giving up one touchdown, stopping them cold on four plays the second time, and taking the ball away the third. Both teams had been able to rely on one or two players for most of the season to just stuff it down the other teams throat - Not this night! Both teams had to pull out all of the stops and utilize every player to get it done. Our player stats have never been so evenly distributed - even our QB caught a pass! Their center had a touchdown!

with the Jags up 24-22, the FEAST got the ball back with 6 minutes left. Our defense won the game by stepping up and shutting them down in 4 straight plays stopping them 2 feet from the first down. We went to run the clock and control the game when our running back popped a tackle inside and cut to the sideline for a 40+ yard touchdown run.

Up 10 points with over 4 minutes left, the defense did it again - 4 and out, the offense pushed for one first down and that was it - game over.

Final Score - NYOS Jaguars 32, San Antonio FEAST 22.
