welcome to the forum. i cant help you much on the evo's, my intro to harleys was the first year of the twinkies. i do ride with one fellow that has 110k miles on his evo with no rebuild. it is starting to rattle and leak pretty bad though. he does plan on a complete motor and tranny rebuild this winter. he'd be a wealth of info but i've never been able to get him interested in the forum. sorry.

Welcome to the site JB. The Evo was a huge leap forward for Harley over the shovel. My first Fatboy was an Evo and I never had a problem with it. There are a few guys on the forums here who have Evo's and swear by them too.

Cheers,
Speed

My second harley was an Evo. 96 Fatboy. Ran like a scalded dog and never gave me a bit of trouble. The sound of it was pure magic. I sold it because I wanted a touring bike for longer trips. I've regretted selling that bike since the day she rolled outta my drive.
