This is from Latus HD'S forum. This is real cool that they have made thier data base available to the public.
The link follows the cut and paste from the Latus forum. Exhaust Systems This is one of the most unique and valuable files we are making available to all. Here you can see how exhausts, you may be considering, perform with motor combinations, you may also be considering or already have. You will also see how the same exhaust may work well with some motor combo’s but not with others. Here, you will see some repetition in the combo’s listed, to demonstrate the inconsistency in performance. This is why we typically give a range for HP/TQ expectations when discussing performance upgrades. Last and most dramatically, you’ll see how large an influence the exhaust has on the shape and peaks of the HP and TQ curves. Questions about what exhaust works best are the most common we get. Consideration of how any one exhaust may impact a proposed performance upgrade occupies the largest part of these discussions. Our recommendations are based on the same data shown in these folders. Folders are only available for brands and types that have been tuned on our dyno. There are a large number of systems for which we do not have data. Folders will be added as bikes having systems new to us come in for tuning. The relevant run information for each has been put into the graph titles. One very interesting folder is the “Tests and compare” file. This will show the most dramatic effects of exhaust systems or modifications such as baffle changes. Most of these graphs are for the same bike, tuned to each change for a true A/B test. Others are actual tests or just things we’ve encountered as part our dyno work. More borrowed words from Latus HD Dyno graphs have become part and parcel to the performance industry as a measurement of success and a means to compare that success with others. Yet, some still regard this data as a closely held and hard won secret. At Latus Motors Harley-Davidson we’ve decided to share 18+ years of data so that our customers (and anyone else on the internet) can view, analyze, compare and make informed decisions on performance choices using the same information we use to make our recommendations. We did not put our entire library on this site because of its size and repetitiveness, but have selected what we feel are interesting and informative files. At this time we believe this to be the largest available reference file on-line. Since it is intended to be a reference library, we have many categories not found on other sites (at least in one place) and may be somewhat overwhelming in its size. These include folders on a variety of tests/comparisons, exhaust brands/type, combinations by other makers/shops, things that did not work (ours included), our package combo’s and others. This library is alive and will be added to on a routine basis with information we believe will be interesting or valuable. We have built repetitiveness into some folders as this too can be useful to demonstrate variability. What you will not find (unless required for a test, etc.) are imported graphs from other dyno’s, specific tuning data (jet sizes, ignition settings, EFI maps) and information not relevant to a folder/graphs intended use. More detailed content descriptions will be found within each folder. http://www.latus-harley-davidson.com/mbbs2/forums/forum-view.asp?fid=43 Once you get in look at Exhaust systems for potential future combonations. Enjoy, and Ihope someone can get some good use out of this. BTW.... Hey Kagan, can you get your company to share the same info? |

Yeah, I was thinking that this data base would take us a few weeks to get this much info from our members, and we could use it as the main page for our dyno section. Now, if we could get Art to add Steel Citys dyno data base.
