The dyno sheets show 88.8 HP and 97.2 torque....I have the sheets in my hand but don't have a scanner

That baby needs compression man.
The peak is too high and low rpm power could use a boost - especially for a bagger. More compression will help you with both. You could bore the jugs and go to high top pistons and have all the labor done for a grand easy. You would get the peak down around 5500 where it belongs, a lot beefier low end and higher numbers across the board. Oh, and more cubes too. ![]() SM |

Actualy S/M the tq peak looks good, after all, the tq is what moves a load, hp moves the load fast, but the dip before the peak is a concern. I bet the A/F shows a rich condition at that point. If that dip got corected, he would have more hp in the cruise zone. :grin:
My brothers 88 looked alot like this one, just reversed in hp/tq. |
