Compresion releases

Baring the electronic compression releases from S&S, does anyone know about a compression release that has a stronger resistance so that they wont pop as/ while your cranking the motor over.
The problem I am having is..... The damn things always pop open during cranking. (I have a 1.8KW Spike starter with a 130 CCA battery) I hold one of them open during cranking, and would hold both open if I could, but my fingers aren't long enough. When the compression release opens during cranking it over, it causes the engine to kick back, and that eats up starter drive clutches. I am tearing it down to install my third extra heavy duty drive clutch in 9 months.
I remember seeing a web site that had a compression release that they claimed was for big bore high compression strokers, but cant remember the site.

Can anyone think of the company?

No. Those are for the ones that dont want to or cant machine thier heads.
