Default Scorcher gives Harley-Davidson the edge

MICHELIN has released a tyre specifically for Harley-Davidson motorcycles with the iconic American bike maker's name on the sidewalls.

The Michelin Scorcher 31 is available as original equipment on four 2010 Harley Dyna models arriving here from October 1.

It has been designed to provide grip, durability and handling for the twin-shock Dyna family with a synthetic polymer compound and deep-cut tread to disperse water.

Michelin claims it will provide high mileage thanks to its use of homogenous blended rubber compounds.

Cheers,

Love Michelin tires, glad to see they're getting in the Harley tire business!

Always good to have options. I think Firestarter runs Michelins.

They became available as a replacement tire for Harleys about 2 years ago when there was a shortage of Dunlops. I know a couple folks who run on them, but haven't heard how they like them for traction and mileage.

This is the first I've heard of them being mounted from the factory though.
