A Summit Township woman was sentenced today in Erie County Court to serve 11 and one-half to 23 months in the Erie County Prison for her role in a 2008 drunken-driving crash that left a motorcyclist partially paralyzed.
Pennsylvania - Deanna M. Gilson, 31, of the 8400 block of Footemill Road, must also serve five years of probation upon her release from prison and pay $2,750 in court costs and fines, Judge Michael E. Dunlavey said.
The charges stemmed from a crash that occurred June 2, 2008, as Gilson's vehicle was exiting the Country Tavern parking lot on Route 97 in Summit.
Her Subaru Legacy collided with a northbound Harley-Davidson XL 1200 motorcycle operated by Richard Lundmark, 41, of Erie. Lundmark suffered multiple injuries including a broken spine, which police said caused him to lose the ability to move his legs. Lundmark attended today's sentencing in a wheelchair.
