After seeing TexasRed's post last night about the tornados and hail in their area, I went to bed hoping things didn't get too rough down there for everyone and that we could all get a little break from the weather events this spring.
So much for that idea. A 5.2 magnitude earthquake hit southern Illinois about 125 miles from where I live. No damage in my area but it shook hard enough to wake me up at 4:37 this morning. Fortunately it wasn't on the New Madrid fault or there probably would have been some damage in our area. (not that I wish any damage on someone else) So here in southeast Mo we have gone from Ice storm and out of electricity in January, some of the most serious flooding in several years in March and now an earthquake. What next? |
