This forum will not allow me to use the words I would choose to express my opinion of this proposal.
OLYMPIA Gov. Chris Gregoire, backed by law enforcement, is proposing sobriety checkpoints as part of the state's continuing clampdown on drunken driving. But the American Civil Liberties Union said the plan would violate the state's strong constitutional privacy protections against "suspicionless" searches. Spokesman Doug Honig says the state Supreme Court threw out Seattle's checkpoints near 20 years ago. The governor's plan will be sponsored by the House Judiciary Committee chairwoman, Rep. Pat Lantz, D-Gig Harbor, an attorney. The proposal would require law enforcement to get a warrant for a specific location and time, targeting areas that are known for frequent alcohol and drug-related collisions. AP - BremertonSun |

It's nice to know I could have said some shiite w/o offending . However, I still try not to go too far in mixed company.
This pending rule? law? whatever the eff it is , is just one more worry on our minds when we are out and about. Like, going to Mom's for dinner and drinking a couple or three glasses of wine . It's gonna wreck any good feelings, worrying about a possible checkpoint on the way home cause you know that if the cops smell anything on your breath they will run your ass in. I can't believe this shit, the Demo-rats want to "keep us safe ?" I say bullshit ! They are screwing with my peace of mind and I by God won't stand for it. This checkpoint ops was ruled unconstitutional 20 years ago in Washington. Queen Gregwhore says today is a new day, well, I got her new day hangin ! |
