ATLANTIC CITY - Amanda Metzler carefully pulled up her tank top, wincing just a little as a burly-looking guy named "Tattoo Dave" put ointment on her freshly inked back.
"Now hold straight," the man said, taking Metzler's hips in his hands. Under his shop's banner, Murder Inc. Tattoos of New York City, he held her bottom half steady, then snapped a photo of his latest creation - two cherubs, one with a winged arm around the other. It was in memory of Metzler's brother who died six months ago.
Her mother, Kathleen, looked on proudly.
