Default LOCAL GM WORKERS HEADED TO THE PICKET LINES

ONTARIO — William Bonner Jr. has worked for General Motors for 28 years, but said today he’s never seen a “contract that’s been this hush-hush.”

He had just worked four hours overtime Monday morning and was headed for United Auto Workers Local 549’s union hall to find out what was going on. That was shortly before 11 a.m. when the metal stamping plant’s UAW members began joining other locals in walking off the job.

Good news this morning...they have reached a tentative agreement to be voted on ASAP. Hope all goes well and we can start things up again!! I was hoping not to have to take any time off right now.
