I will admit I am a Newbie here, so I don't quite get what a forum is for if I can't say what I want to say?

Is negativity towards Harley so bad that rather then face up to it, the moderator just locks the thread?

I didn't bash, I didn't call anything junk, I didn't call anyone out or get into any arguments, yet whenever I say anything that reflects negatively on a bike I have almost $27G invested into, I get banned or my threads are locked down.

This seems very strange to me, since there is a button called reply on the bottom.

This is telling me and if others don't see it, that the moderators are insecure and don't want anyone to know someone is pissed off at Harley. I have news for you, I am not the only one. You can't lock everyone out people are quite upset and I as a last resort have been looking for some intelligent answers, so at least I have a comeback to the shit I have been getting from nearly everyone rider or non rider.

Seems before I bought my Ultra everyone wanted one or told me to get one, now after everyone laughs at me and it, and told me I made a mistake. I have had umteen warranty issues, and wished it could keep up to a Goldwing which I was told it could. Give me a break! Its about half as fast. And that is on a good day. I am not racing, I am riding with them sometimes and can't keep up. Its fricken embarassing.

I think its time we all said something to Harley about this, and I was hoping others experienced this too. I do not want to build the engine and make it more unreliable it can barley keep together as it is. Please don't BS me with souping it up, for as much as I paid it should be able to keep up to a damn Gold wing.

Well I suppose I will get banned because I am pissed off.

Let me tell you some of the things I have had happen to me with this bike so far.

While riding at road speeds, it started puking oil out and smoking like hell. It did that intermittantly from about 7K miles on. The dealer couldn't verify the problem, so I had to live with it till it got worse. They assured me it would quit doing that. I was running their damn oil.

It still does this without notice. I don't even have to be riding hard either.

The shifter fell off, I have lost bolts, It decideds it doesn't want to start every once in awhile, another "have to verify" issue that is never repaired.

It leaked oil out of two different covers, the mirror glass flew out of the mirror. That was cool because I was riding with imports that teased me all day after that.

My original paint had defects, the brakes came stock with air in them had to have the dealer rebleed, they told me not to do it myself.

It goes on and on guys. What the hell

I have friends that have imports with 50K for miles with never having to take them in for any warranty concerns at all. I have talked to other Harley guys out there, and after begging them to tell me the truth finally admit they have had similar problems, but nobody talks about it.

Is this all supposed to be a secret or what the hell. I don't think this should be kept quiet unless you guys are so into pretending we have the greatest bikes. Come on for Gods sake I have owned over a dozen new cars and trucks and all together haven't had this many problems with all of them put together.
I come on a board to talk about things and as soon as I bitch or complain looking for feedback from other annoymous people that will speak the truth I get shut down and shut up.

Are these boards monitored by Harley itself? Why else does it shut down everyone that says anything construed as negative towards the brand. Everyone can reply or answer anything that is said. It takes away the realism of these boards to be monitored so closely to protect the enthusiasm.
It has to be that Harley has its own people controlling these boards.

I belong to Auto discussion boards and even Atv boards and members bitch all the time about hating this or hating that. I didn't say the word hate or come close to what goes on on these other boards. Why the close monitoring?

Yup, you guessed it. You have been banned. No one cares why you don't like your ride. I like mine because it leaks, vibrates, shit falls off of it and it is loud as hell. I don't give a damn about keeping up with a stealthbike aka goldwing. Man up. Sell your ride and go metric. You will be happier bitching to them about your Harley because we don't care. This is a Harley site. There are ways to gripe but constant complaining is useless and won't be tolerated as far as I am concerned.
