Default I just don't understand....

I join a forum for feedback, and as soon as I am honest and speak from my heart, my thread is locked down??

I thought I could get some answers and feedback from other Harley riders, and what I get is shut down.

Thanks alot. Makes me feel as though there are no answers or solutions.

Did I choose the wrong brand? Is this insecurity or what?

My resale is falling in the toilet and I am trying to learn how the rest of you guys feel about all this??

Can we not talk openly or do we all have to pretend none of these things exist?

you other threads sounded like a lot of whining over stuff that doesnt matter much. harley is limiting production on bikes so your resale aint taking that big of a hit. quick fix there is dont sell. buell wasnt making money so harley shut it down. thats the economic times we are in so quit whining, at least the rest of harley is still trying to stay alive. forget the southpark crap, they will be picking on someone else by then and it will be a distant memory. if you cant ride down a minivan and deal with whoever called you a fag then you must not be much of a rider or serious about handling it. man up and dont look for anyone here to handle your shit for you.

Goldwings, come on tell me you can catch a Gold wing, if they try at all we are distant memories in their mirrors.

And as far as people callin me fags its the damn kids doin it. So am I suppose to beat up kids?

All I am saying is that I am feeling a bit disappointed in my purchase and my choice for a bike lately.

I went to a Honda dealer, yeah go ahead throw rocks at me, and asked what they would give me for a trade on my 08' Ultra Classic decked out full of chrome, every damn option I could get on it and not a scratch on it and do you know what they offered me?? $7500.00!! towards a Goldwing. I about fell over guys.
They asked me how many times I had to bring it back to the dealer, Lets just say I kept my mouth shut, I had nothing but grief with it from day one. Oil leaks and all!

They didn't even want it.
I went to three different dealers and that is the best offer I got. I have 12K for miles and new rubber.
I am just fed up with Harley I guess. Even trying to sell it outright I doubt I could get $8-9 Gs, hell the Cycle trader is flooded with Harleys for sale page after damn page, same as Ebay or Craigslist.
Is everyone dumpin them now or what??

You wonder why I am upset here, well there it is.

The resale of everything is in the toilet. That's our economy. Sucks but none the less that's where we are. I have a 2006 RoadKing that I love. I knew when I bought it that it was built for comfort not speed out of the box. I was an educated consumer who made a purchase because it was what I wanted. If I had wanted a Honda I would have bought a Honda. I bought what I wanted. I am not disappointed in anyway in my bike. I ride it hard and I ride it often. It sounds to me like your disappointed in your choice. No one is going to try and talk you into liking your bike. You love it or ya don't. You decide. You want to make it faster. Do a build and make it faster. You want to sell it and buy something else then do it. What or if you ride is a personal choice. I love the choice I made.
