It's looking good for Biketoberfest 09
DAYTONA BEACH -- Tourism officials are hoping pent-up demand will translate into an outpouring of dollars and cents into the cash registers of area businesses when Biketoberfest 2009 rolls into town this week.The four-day event officially is Oct. 15-18, but some promoters started early with special activities this weekend, such as Bruce Rossmeyers' Boggy Creek Camp Ride for Children and the Daytona Beach Blues Festival on Manatee Island.

I have never seen a first weekend for Biketoberfest so dead before. Between 9pm last night and 2am this morning I passed 3 bikes. You read that right - 3 bikes. It's a ghost town in Daytona right now.
