Makes it all worth it
This past weekend we had our annual "Ride To Remember" with all proceeds going to a Veterans home, who unlike any other in country allows the spouses of the Veterans to live in the home with them...so they live out their lives together, as it should be!
Me and my Newfie bud had our music system set up at the front of the room, so we had the perfect viewpoint....at the beginning of the ceremony we have the "Last Post"(Bugalar) followed by a moment of scilence, followed by Amazing grace on the Pipes, and then right into "The Rouse" (Bugal)....this little old lady who's husband(WWII Airborne Vet) has past, was siiting in her wheel chair front row. As the "Last Post" began she began to cry uncontrolably and was trying her best to stand with the rest of us, but couldn't get up...a couple of our lads noticed this and moved forward to help her up, through her tears the boys held her up for the whole 8 minutes....I can tell ya there wasn't a dry eye in the house
