My nighmare with the Attourney General continues

in January I filed with the Attourney General for past due child support to be collected. After going downtown to purchase $70 worth of "certified copies" of my divorce and all other orders associated with it, I turned them in to the AG at the end of January. In March I was notified they are accepting the case. I thought that was great! Little did I know. In May the AG notified his employer to withhold from his paychecks. The AG said he owed me $18,829.42 with accrued interest of $61,353.25.
Less than 10 days I get another withholding letter which was also sent to his employer, stating that he owed me $661.10 arrearage with $9,705.82 in interest. How the #@$! did it drop so much in 10 days. I called to see if somehow figures had been not entered but was told that I would have to go to the office it was being worked out of. Keep in mind I filed the papers on the Beltway 8 N. location, then it was transferred to the downtown office then to the East Freeway location, which is 60 miles one way. I went into the office to find out what was going on as well as to have it transferred back to the North location. That was on 6/30 after not getting anywhere on the phone for 1 month. The person handling the case not only didn't provide me with any information, he failed to enter the information to transfer it. I also had to get a copy of Kimmie's HS transcript & letter stating she was enrolled in school for 7 months after turning 18. I got the letter & transcript and now can't send it to anyone until the case is transferred to the N location. I called on 6/30 to check the status, still not being transferred. I filed the request and called back in 15 days as instructed. 7/16-- still not transferred, and my request for transfer was not entered in the system either. I filed another request for transfer, and told to call back on 7/23. I just got off the phone and I am so upset, not only is it not transferred, it was again not entered in the computer system. I filed another request to transfer, and am to call back on 7/29. I was also told they sent another with holding letter to his employer again. I told her I can't wait to see what figure they come up with this time.
In order to call for information, you have to call the central dispatch office and there is no way to talk with an associate in the field offices. I also can't talk with a superior until it is transferred to the N. office. I can't even go meet with a person without driving back to the East freeway and meeting with the same idiot I met with last time.
I now understand how & why some people go postal! Does anyone know how or what I can do to get somewhere with this?
I am so frustrated & infuriated I can't see straight! I swear there is smoke coming out of my ears!!!! GRRRRR!!!! This is the nicest thing I can say online here.

I will tell yu how I have handled situations like this (other matters of course) in the past. I would put in the transfer request then in 2 working days call them back. If the transfer had not been put in the computer I would go to the office and sit there until the pinhead puts it in in my presence. then once the request is in and all is well, i would call back in the allotted time to make sure things were indeed transfered.

The squeeky wheel gets the grease. You can be that way without being hateful for the most part but unless you check up on it no one will do their jobs because it doesnt affect them. If they fix things for you just to get you to leave them alone, who cares? It is fixed isnt it?

I would try calling your local State Representative and ask if they can help. Sounds like the complaining to the Attorney General wouldn't help. This is what we will all do for medical care in the near future if Obama gets his way too.

Bev stick to your guns and talk until someone listens. If they don't listen, keep talking louder. My ex owed me over $31,000 11 years ago. I never followed up on it because quite frankly I was afraid of him. I never saw a cent from him. At the time I thought it was safer to just let it ride. In retrospect I wish I had tried to collect the money I needed to raise my daughter. Stick to your guns girl and hang in there.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. We have a lady that does what Marvin Zindler used to do on the news, so I'll get all my ducks in a row and send her the information to see if she can help me out any. We've made sacrifices for them to not do without growing up and now I want whats due to me. Thanks again.
