Dudes, I got a Harley!

Hi,

I just wanted to let you know that I finally bit the bullet after a year of contemplating whether or not I wanted my own. I passed the HD rider safety course and found a 2007 Softail Deluxe with custom paint job (Burgundy and cream). I am thrilled to be a new lady rider and get out on the road! Although a scary proposition, I think it might be more for the other motorcycle riders than myself! : ) I am so excited that I am jumping up and down.

I kinda figured you had the fever after this past weekend.

Hope you get a chance to do a lot of practice in an empty parking lot, it's amazing how much that helps us to become accustomed to our new rides.

Hi all,

Thanks so much for the congrats! I bought the bike that I showed over the weekend. Piff- parking lots are my new best friend until I feel better about handling the bike. Some of you know that I drove a Buell or for that matter any bike just a couple of weekends ago so I am a little wet behind the ears. Now George- my mother knows and she is actually the only one that is dying to ride with me. (not happening with my skills!) She loves my Tattoo and now the bike. She is a free spirit in that way! As far as the Softail being a done payment until all the accessories, You are absolutely correct because I already am looking at a windshield, LED light system, seat, pipes, and saddlebags. Yikes! Oh what fun this is! Finally, can you ever have too much leather? I think not!

You all have been great and thanks so much for the support. I have always wanted to do this but I know that I am quite the novice so HeadDoc is getting all of the really stupid questions. I am sure that he is saying in his head, "Have patience, have patience!" : )
